From Our Travelers

Unedited words from the people we've traveled with.

"
After waiting more than a year, our Xinjiang trip finally happened. We landed in Ürümqi to silk scarves, traditional caps, and a Xinjiang dance right at the airport. Even the hotel had freshly-cut Hami melon and a "Xinjiang friends" gift bag waiting. Every detail thought through.
Hsiang-Lan L. Xinjiang Rail · September 2025 ★★★★★
"
The local guide was so knowledgeable and thoughtful, and our Taiwanese tour leader was patient with everyone, no matter what. The whole itinerary just flowed — you feel how much Fresh cares about their travelers. Five stars without hesitation.
Cheng-Chuang Y. Xinjiang Journey · 2025 ★★★★★
"
My second trip with Fresh — 16 days on the Happiness Train across Xinjiang. Our group was nearly 60 people, mostly over 65, but tour leader Guo-An and guide Gulia took care of every single one of us. This isn't just sightseeing; it's a warm, joyful journey start to finish.
Tracy T. Xinjiang Happiness Train · September 2025 ★★★★★
"
Sixteen days across Xinjiang by train — grasslands, snow-capped mountains, ancient Silk Road ruins. As the train crossed the Gobi, the scenery shifted like a kaleidoscope. The rhythm of the train matched my heartbeat. Xinjiang isn't just the far west — it's a dream where your soul wanders freely.
Nai-Chi F. Xinjiang Train Journey · September 2025 ★★★★★
"
Sixteen days with tour leader Guo-An and guide Gulizhar. What struck me was their patience — especially with the older travelers, helping them every step. Fresh even arranged a birthday surprise on the trip, with little purple lavender bears for everyone celebrating that month. Such a beautiful, thoughtful touch.
Li-Ping C. Xinjiang Journey · 2025 ★★★★★
"
Sixteen days circling Xinjiang on the Happiness Train. Taking the train to cover the distances was honestly brilliant — I can only say this way of travelling is just incredible. Watching snow fall over the Duku Highway and Kanas… Fresh has given me a beautiful chapter of life.
Fu-Hsun C. Xinjiang Happiness Train · 2025 ★★★★★

Common Questions

Before you ask.

Is China safe and easy to travel in right now?
Yes — and easier than ever. China is consistently one of Asia's safest countries to visit, with low crime rates and world-class transport. Visa rules have eased dramatically in recent years, digital payments now accept foreign cards, and our Taiwanese tour leaders handle every detail on the ground.
What is included in the tour price? Are flights covered?
Each journey includes premium accommodation, daily breakfast and most meals, all ground transport within, entrance fees, a Taiwanese tour leader, and English-speaking local guides throughout. International flights to and from your destination are not included — they vary widely by city and season, and we want you to have the flexibility to choose what suits you.
Can I customise a private journey for my family or group?
Yes. Alongside our published small-group departures, we design private custom journeys for families and groups travelling together. Tell us who's coming, when you'd like to go, and what you'd love to see — a specialist will craft an itinerary just for you. Minimum group sizes apply, depending on the destination.
What is the cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellation terms vary by how close to departure you cancel, as suppliers (hotels, trains, guides) have their own refund windows. Our full policy is in our terms and conditions — please review before booking, and we strongly recommend travel insurance to cover the unexpected. For specific concerns, contact our staff.
